Pakistan Audit and Accounts Academy, Quetta

Introduction:

The Pakistan Audit & Accounts Academy, Quetta (formerly Railway Accounts Academy, Quetta) is the oldest training institute of the Country in the field of Auditing, Accounting, Financial Management & Office Management working since last 50 Years at Quetta. At present, this Academy has the distinction that it is the sole training institute in above mentioned fields of study in the province Balochistan.

The RAA functions as a separate unit under the control of the Comptroller & AGP with the Advisory Board of its own.

A substantial number of Short Training Courses are held annually in this Academy for capacity building of the Officers / Officials of Pakistan Audit Department as well as of Federal, Provincial & Semi-Government offices to improve their skills in relevant areas of their field, including Auditing, Accounting, Financial Management & Office Management.

Besides above, holding of two (02) months long course for public Finance Managers (namely Public Finance Managers Course-PFMC) for junior level officers (falling in B-17 and above), twice in a year is one of the distinct features of this Academy and more than 100 curses have been conducted.

Objectives:

 Preparing and developing the human resource of the Department of the Auditor General of Pakistan (and of Federal, Provincial, Semi Government Departments and Autonomous Organizations), mainly, in their profession as auditors, accountants, managers and work facilitators, to efficiently and effectively achieve the departmental objectives in the light of its training policy.

Target Audience:

  • Officers/Officials in (B-11 & above) of Field Audit & Accounts Offices (FA&AOs)
  • Officers in (B-16 & above) of the Federal, Provincial, Semi-Government Departments/Offices and Autonomous Bodies.
